Double faced or double sided laid scrims tape
Double faced or double sided laid scrims tape Introduction
This product is a finished double-sided adhesive tape with a Laid Scrim carrier — an aggressive, clear PES/PVA scrim coated on both sides with a modified, solvent-free, water-based acrylic adhesive, paired with a 90 g siliconized paper release liner. An aggressive clear PES/PVA scrim tape coated on both sides with a modified solvent free water based acrylic adhesive. Gold 90 gram siliconized paper release liner. The adhesive system of this double sided tape has excellent tack combined with high adhesive strength. Bond well to nearly all materials, even to difficult surfaces like foams, PE and PP films.
Double faced or double sided laid scrims tape Characteristics
Aggressive Solvent-Free Acrylic Adhesive: Modified water-based acrylic on both sides provides excellent tack and high adhesive strength, bonding reliably to foams, PE, PP, metals, and other low-surface-energy substrates commonly encountered in mounting, splicing, and converting operations.
Laid Scrim Carrier Advantages: Lightweight, high strength, low shrinkage/elongation, and corrosion-preventive — the scrim adds multi-directional tensile and tear resistance to the tape without bulking it up, keeping the tape flexible and conformable while preventing stretch during unwind and die-cutting.
Gold Siliconized Paper Release Liner: 90 g paper liner provides stable release, clean peel from the adhesive, and good dimensional stability during slitting and dispensing — suitable for automated tape-applying lines.
Double faced or double sided laid scrims tape Data
The tape uses a gold 90 g siliconized paper release liner. The adhesive system features excellent tack combined with high adhesive strength, bonding well to nearly all materials — even difficult surfaces like foams, PE and PP films. Due to the scrim's lightweight, high strength, low shrinkage/elongation, and corrosion-preventive properties, this double-sided tape offers measurable value compared to conventional tape carriers, and it is easily laminated with many kinds of substrates for an extensive range of applications. Configurable roll width 200–2,500 mm, roll length up to 10,000 m.
Double faced or double sided laid scrims tape Application
Primary Use: Double-Sided Mounting, Splicing & Bonding Tape
The core application of this double-sided laid scrim tape is as a high-performance mounting and splicing tape for bonding foams, plastics, metals, films, and non-wovens in industrial assembly, signage, packaging, and converting operations. The scrim carrier and aggressive adhesive allow it to:
Bond Difficult Surfaces Reliably
The solvent-free acrylic adhesive has excellent tack on low-surface-energy substrates like PE, PP, and foams — eliminating the need for primers or surface treatment in many mounting and splicing jobs.
Provide Dimensional Stability & Tear Resistance
The scrim carrier prevents the tape from stretching during unwind, die-cutting, or shear loading, so die-cut shapes and splice joints stay in registered position — critical for automated assembly and precision converting.
Replace Conventional Carriers in Foam & Film Laminations
Where traditional film carriers would add stiffness or fail to bond to porous/foam substrates, the open scrim structure allows the adhesive to key through and bond directly to the substrate — useful for foam-to-metal, foam-to-film, and non-woven-to-plastic assemblies.
Secondary Applications
a) Aluminum Foil Composite
Where traditional film carriers would add stiffness or fail to bond to porous/foam substrates, the open scrim structure allows the adhesive to key through and bond directly to the substrate — useful for foam-to-metal, foam-to-film, and non-woven-to-plastic assemblies.
b) PVC Flooring
PVC Flooring is mainly made of PVC,also other necessary chemical material during manufacture. It is produced by calendering, extrusion progress or other manufacture progress, it is devided into PVC Sheet Floor and PVC Roller Floor. Now all major domestic and foreign manufactures are applying it as the reinforcement layer to avoiding the joint or bulge between pieces, which is caused by the heat expansion and contraction of materials.
c) None-woven category products reinforced
None-woven laid scrim is widely used as reinforced materail on kinds none-woven fabric, such as fiberglass tissue, polyester mat, wipes, also some top ends, such as medical paper. It can makes none-woven products with higher tensile strength, while just add very little unit weight.
d) PVC Tarpaulin
Laid scrim can be used as basic materials to produce truck cover, light awning, banner, sail cloth etc.
Due to lightweight, high strength, low shrinkage/elongation, corrosion preventive, laid scrims offers tremendous value compared to conventional material concepts. And it's easily to laminate with many kinds of materials, this makes it has an extensive fields of applications.
