Polyester Netting Laid Scrim 5x5mm PVOH Coating 1000D Yarn for Sailing Tarpaulin
Polyester Netting Laid Scrim Brief Introduction
Polyester Netting Laid Scrim Characteristics
Optimized 5x5mm Mesh with PVOH Coating: The balanced 5x5mm mesh offers good stability and allows for excellent coating penetration and adhesion. The PVOH coating enhances the fabric's compatibility with PVC or other polymer coatings (used in tarpaulin manufacturing), improves water resistance, and provides a more environmentally friendly bonding solution.
Superior Marine Durability: Polyester inherently offers excellent resistance to saltwater, mildew, and UV degradation. When combined with the heavy yarn and protective coating, it ensures the reinforced composite tarpaulin maintains its integrity and performance over long periods of exposure to harsh sun, salt spray, and moisture.
Flexible & Conformable: Despite its high strength, the laid scrim structure retains flexibility, allowing the final tarpaulin to be folded, handled, and to conform to the shapes of boats or equipment without compromising the reinforcement.
Polyester Netting Laid Scrim Application Scenarios
It is laminated as the key reinforcing layer within PVC-coated or other polymer-coated tarpaulins used for boats, yachts, and marine equipment. These covers include sailboat covers, bimini tops, dodgers, and general-purpose heavy-duty boat tarps. The scrim's primary role is to provide the structural strength to resist tearing from wind flapping, support snow loads, and withstand the physical stresses of tying down and handling, while the coating provides waterproofing.
