Polyester mesh fabric Laid Scrims for double sided scrim tape for Middle East Countries
Polyester Laid Scrims Brief Introduction
This product is a Polyester Laid Scrim, a cost-effective, high-performance reinforcement fabric engineered specifically as the carrier / hidden tensile skeleton for double-sided scrim tapes supplied to Middle East markets (construction, HVAC, automotive, packaging, and industrial bonding). It is manufactured by chemically bonding continuous polyester filament yarns into an open mesh construction (square or tri-directional), with binder options (PVOH, PVC, Acrylic, or customized) to match different PSA coating, laminating, and die-cutting processes. Compared with glass-fiber scrims, the polyester version offers softer hand-feel, heat sealability, and better compatibility with acrylic / rubber-based PSAs — critical when the tape must survive high-temperature job sites, dusty conditions, and robotic/application-tool handling common across Gulf projects. The scrim is laminated between two adhesive layers or embedded into the tape carrier to become the "anti-stretch grid" that prevents the tape from elongating, tearing, or edge-lifting during unwind, application, and long-term load.
Polyester Laid Scrims Characteristics
Tape-Carrier Adapted Polyester Property Set: Per the page's "Polyester Laid Scrims Characteristics" list — tensile strength, tear resistance, heat sealable, anti-microbial properties, water resistance, self-adhesive compatibility, eco-friendly, decomposable, and recyclable. This combination is what differentiates polyester from glass in tape applications: the scrim reinforces the carrier without sacrificing die-cut cleanliness, conformability to irregular surfaces, or long-term aging in hot/climate-cycled environments.
Long Rolls for High-Speed PSA Lines: Roll width 200–2,500 mm; roll length up to 50,000 m (platform capacity), regular supply 10,000 m/roll per page note: "each roll length can be 10,000 meters" and "it can help manufacture to develop the production efficiency as the roll length can reach 10000m". Fewer splices per shift on high-speed PSA coating and slitting lines, fewer weak spots in finished tape logs — directly matching the Middle East converter's throughput need.

Polyester Laid Scrims Application
Primary Use: Reinforcement for Double-Sided Scrim Tape
The core and specialized application of this polyester laid scrim is as the hidden tensile skeleton laminated between adhesive layers or embedded into the carrier of double-sided scrim tapes used in Middle East construction, HVAC sealing, automotive trim mounting, packaging, and industrial bonding. It is laminated into the tape stack to:
Enhance Tensile & Tear Strength for Harsh Job-Site Handling
Double-sided scrim tape is pulled, stretched, and pressed during application (e.g., mounting trims, sealing duct laps, fixing insulation facings). The scrim dramatically increases the carrier's resistance to breaking and tearing, ensuring the bond holds through Gulf climate heat cycles and UV exposure.
Maintain Dimensional Stability Through Unwind & Service
The scrim's low elongation prevents the tape from stretching when unrolled or loaded in shear, so die-cut shapes (logo tabs, washers, mounting squares) stay in registered position after application — critical for automated or high-spec mounting work.
Enable Clean Die-Cutting & Heat-Seal Compatibility
The open mesh allows clean, burr-free die-cutting of complex tape shapes; with PVOH or heat-sealable binders, the scrim is compatible with thermal laminating used in tape converting — no adhesive oozing or liner wrinkling during high-speed slitting.
Secondary Applications
Per the product page, polyester (and glass-hybrid) laid scrim of this platform is also extensively applied in:
Aluminum Foil Composite
Non-woven laid scrim is widely applied in the aluminium foil industry; 10,000 m roll length helps manufacturers improve production efficiency and gives finished products better appearance.
PVC Flooring
PVC flooring is mainly made of PVC plus other necessary chemical materials via calendering or extrusion, divided into sheet and roller types. All major domestic and foreign manufacturers now apply laid scrim as the reinforcement layer to avoid joint separation or bulging between floor pieces caused by thermal expansion and contraction.
