    Polyester mesh Laid Scrims Introduction

This product is a Polyester Laid Scrim, a cost-effective, high-performance reinforcement fabric engineered specifically for medical scrim absorbent towels — the thicker, more durable cousin of medical wipes and tissue used in surgical settings, patient care, and clinical wiping. It is manufactured by chemically bonding continuous polyester filament yarns into an open mesh construction (square or tri-directional), with binder options (PVOH, PVC, Acrylic, or customized) to match different non-woven laminating, thermal bonding, or calendaring processes. Compared with glass-fiber scrims, the polyester version offers softer hand-feel, heat sealability, and better compatibility with spunlace / airlaid / PP non-woven stacks — critical when the absorbent towel must pull fluid aggressively, survive repeated wiping or gloved handling, and still be convertible into folded bibs, drape towels, or sterile-pack components. The scrim is laminated into or behind the non-woven towel substrate to become a hidden "tensile skeleton" that prevents the towel from linting, splitting, or disintegrating when saturated.

    Polyester mesh Laid Scrims Characteristics

Medical-Towel Adapted Property Set (Polyester Version):The polyester scrim carries tensile strength, tear resistance, heat sealability, anti-microbial properties, water resistance, self-adhesive options, eco-friendliness, decomposability, and recyclability — a combination that lets the scrim reinforce thicker non-woven towel substrates without compromising softness, absorbency pathway, or convertibility into folded/sterile formats.

Process Compatibility for Medical Non-Woven Converting: The open mesh is compatible with spunlace, airlaid, needlepunch, and thermal-bond non-woven lines. Roll length 10,000 m per roll (page-stated regular supply) reduces splice frequency on high-speed towel folding/winding/converting lines. Binders can be matched to your laminating adhesive or thermal-bond profile (PVOH removable, Acrylic permanent, PVC-compatible, or hot-melt for medical non-woven).

    Polyester mesh Laid Scrims Application

Primary Use: Reinforcement for Medical Scrim Absorbent Towels

The core and specialized application of this polyester laid scrim is as a hidden tensile skeleton laminated into or behind medical scrim absorbent towels — used in operating rooms, patient-care wards, dental clinics, and laboratory wiping where a thicker, more durable wipe is preferred over thin tissue. It is laminated into the non-woven towel stack to:

    Prevent Disintegration When Saturated

Absorbent towels must pull blood, exudate, saline, or disinfectant while staying intact through gloved handling, folding, and repetitive wiping. The scrim arrests tear propagation so the towel does not lint, split, or fall apart when fully loaded — critical for OR and procedure trays.

Add Handling Toughness Without Sacrificing Softness

With PVOH or hot-melt binders, the scrim is compatible with thermal laminating and folding lines used in medical towel converting — allowing the reinforced towel to be folded, stacked, and sealed into sterile packs or dispenser boxes without adhesive oozing or ply separation.

Enable Folding, Sterile Packaging & Converting Compatibility

The open mesh adds multi-directional tensile with minimal mass, so the towel stays flexible and skin-friendly while gaining meaningful resistance to thumb-press tearing or edge-fray during use — useful for patient-care wipes and bib/drape towels.

    Secondary Applications

Due to its versatile reinforcement properties and open mesh design, this polyester laid scrim is also extensively applied in other industrial sectors per the product page:

    Aluminum Foil Composite

Non-woven laid scrim is widely applied in the aluminium foil industry; roll lengths up to 10,000 m help manufacturers improve production efficiency, and the finished product gets better appearance.

    PVC Flooring

PVC flooring is mainly made of PVC plus other necessary chemical materials via calendering or extrusion, divided into sheet and roller types. All major domestic and foreign manufacturers now apply laid scrim as the reinforcement layer to avoid joint separation or bulging between floor pieces caused by thermal expansion and contraction.
