Polyester Laid Scrims Brief Introduction
This product is a Laid Scrim laminated with non-woven cloth/mat, a cost-effective reinforcement fabric made from continuous filament yarns in an open mesh construction, chemically bonded to form a stable skeleton. Ruifiber makes these scrims to order for specific usages — they are designed to satisfy customer requests and be highly compatible with the customer's process and product, permitting economical reinforcement of the target substrate. In the first-aid-kit application, the scrim is laminated with non-woven cloth/mat to become the hidden tensile layer inside gauze pads, absorbent dressings, and first-aid wipes, preventing the pad from linting, splitting, or disintegrating when saturated with blood/exudate or handled with gloves.

Long Rolls for Medical Non-Woven Converting: Each roll length can be 10,000 meters, which helps manufacturers improve production efficiency and gives finished products better appearance. Fewer splices per shift on high-speed laminating and slitting lines, fewer weak spots in finished dressing/pad rolls.

Primary Use: Reinforcement for First Aid Kit Materials
The core application of this non-woven-laminated laid scrim is as the hidden tensile skeleton laminated with non-woven cloth/mat inside gauze pads, absorbent dressings, and first-aid wipes for household, automotive, industrial, and clinical first-aid kits. Prevent Disintegration When Saturated
First-aid pads must pull blood or exudate while staying intact through gloved handling, folding, and wiping. The scrim arrests tear propagation so the pad does not lint, split, or fall apart when saturated — critical for field and emergency use.
Add Handling Toughness Without Sacrificing Softness
The open mesh adds multi-directional tensile with minimal mass, so the pad stays flexible and skin-friendly while gaining meaningful resistance to thumb-press tearing or edge fray — useful for sterile gauze and absorbent dressings.
Enable Folding & Sterile-Pack Converting
With compatible binders (PVOH, hot-melt, etc.), the scrim is compatible with thermal laminating and folding lines used in medical non-woven converting — allowing the reinforced pad to be folded, stacked, and sealed into sterile sachets or first-aid kit compartments without adhesive oozing or ply separation.
Secondary Applications
a) Aluminum Foil Composite
Nove-woven laid scrim is widely applied in aluminium foil industry. It can help manufacture to develop the production efficiency as the roll length can reach 10000m. It also makes the finished product with better apperance.
b) PVC Flooring
PVC Flooring is mainly made of PVC,also other necessary chemical material during manufacture. It is produced by calendering,extrusion progress or other manufacture progress, it is devided into PVC Sheet Floor and PVC Roller Floor. Now all major domestic and foreign manufactures are applying it as the reinforcement layer to avoiding the joint or bulge between pieces, which is caused by the heat expansion and contraction of materials.
c) None-woven category products reinforced
None-woven laid scrim is widely used as reinforced materail on kinds none-woven fabric, such as fiberglass tissue, polyester mat, wipes, also some top ends, such as medical paper. It can makes none-woven products with higher tensile strength,while just add very little unit weight.
d) PVC Tarpaulin
Laid scrim can be used as basic materials to produce truck cover,light awning, banner, sail cloth etc.
