Polyester Laid Scrims Brief Introduction
This product is a Polyester Laid Scrim, a cost-effective, high-performance reinforcement fabric engineered specifically for enhancing the strength, durability, and processability of medical clothing fabrics and medical-grade non-wovens. It is manufactured by chemically bonding continuous polyester filament yarns into an open mesh construction (square or tri-directional), with optional binder systems (PVOH, PVC, Acrylic, or customized) to match different lamination or thermal bonding processes. Compared with glass-fiber scrims, the polyester version offers softer hand-feel, heat-sealability, and better compatibility with disposable/medical non-woven stacks, making it ideal as a hidden reinforcement skeleton in surgical gowns, isolation suits, protective coveralls, and medical paper composites. The product is highly customizable, with roll widths from 200 to 2500 mm and roll lengths up to 50,000 meters, supporting high-speed, continuous production lines in medical non-woven converting.

Medical-Adapted Material Properties: The polyester scrim is tailored for hygiene and protective applications, offering tensile strength, tear resistance, heat sealability, anti-microbial properties, water resistance, self-adhesive options, eco-friendliness, decomposability, and recyclability — a combination that glass-fiber scrims cannot fully match in disposable medical contexts.
High Strength & Ultra-Light Weight: Despite the soft polyester hand, the scrim delivers meaningful reinforcement at very low GSM. Regular medical/non-woven grades follow the same platform specs: CF12.5×12.5PH ~6.2–6.6 g/m², CF10×10PH ~8–9 g/m², CF6.25×6.25PH ~12–13.2 g/m², CF5×5PH ~15.2 g/m². The high strength-to-weight ratio reinforces medical non-wovens without compromising breathability, drape, or comfort.
Wide Customization & Process Compatibility: Available in yarn types beyond polyester (Glass, Carbon, Kevlar, Nomex, Cotton, Flax, Jute, Viscose, etc.), constructions (square / tri-directional), patterns (0.8–3 yarns/cm), and bonding agents (PVOH, PVC, Acrylic, customized including hot-melt for medical paper). Roll lengths up to 50,000 m minimize splicing on high-speed medical converting lines.
