Non-woven laid scrims Brief Introduction
This product is a fine-grid Laid Scrim (available in Glass, Polyester, or hybrid), built on a 2×2 ENDS per 10 mm square-mesh layout (5×5 mm grid), positioned for thin-to-medium substrate laminates where a balanced fine grid is needed to arrest tears without telegraphing through the face. It is made by chemically bonding continuous filament yarns (Glass, Polyester, Carbon, Cotton, Flax, Jute, Viscose, Kevlar, Nomex, etc.) into a flat-laid open mesh (square or tri-directional), then supplied as a standalone roll or laminated carrier for integration into foil, non-woven, PVC, and technical textile stacks. The chemically bonded, non-woven-yarn construction gives the scrim lightweight, high strength, low shrinkage/low elongation, and corrosion resistance.

5×5 mm Fine-Square Property Profile: Dimensional stability, tensile strength, alkali resistance, tear resistance, fire resistance, anti-microbial properties, water resistance — the 2×2 ENDS layout delivers refined crack-arrest on medium-thin substrates (foil–kraft, non-woven mats, PVC flooring carriers, light technical textiles) where coarser grids might leave overly wide tear mouths but an ultra-fine grid would be over-specified.
High Strength & Light Weight: Available in a range of regular mesh sizes and grammages covering the platform's common specifications (12.5×12.5 / 10×10 / 6.25×6.25 / 5×5 / 12.5×6.25 mm etc.; regular supply grams 6.5g / 8g / 13g / 15.5g etc.), delivering high tensile and tear resistance at minimal added weight. Fully bondable with almost any material; each roll length 10,000 m to support efficient production.

The regular supply of non-woven reinforcement and laminated scrim is 12.5x12.5mm,10x10mm,6.25x6.25mm, 5x5mm,12.5x6.25mm etc. The regular supply grams are 6.5g, 8g, 13g, 15.5g, etc.With high strength and light weight, it can be fully bonded with almost any material and each roll length can be 10,000 meters.

Primary Use: General-Purpose Fine-Grid Reinforcement for Foil, Non-Woven, PVC & Technical Textile Stacks
The core application of this 2×2 ENDS (5×5 mm) laid scrim is as the hidden tensile grid laminated into or between foil–kraft, non-woven mats, PVC flooring carriers, and light technical textile stacks where a converter needs balanced tear arrest at modest GSM. It is laminated into the host stack to upgrade mechanical performance at very low GSM, turning fragile or limp substrates into composites that survive handling, converting, and in-service loads. 5×5 mm is the regular supply fine-square endpoint on the site's data sheet (alongside 12.5×12.5 / 10×10 / 6.25×6.25 / 12.5×6.25 mm), making it a default go-to for general laminating programs.
Secondary Applications
a) Aluminum Foil Composite
Nove-woven laid scrim is widely applied in aluminium foil industry. It can help manufacture to develop the production efficiency as the roll length can reach 10000m. It also makes the finished product with better apperance.
b) PVC Flooring
PVC Flooring is mainly made of PVC,also other necessary chemical material during manufacture. It is produced by calendering,extrusion progress or other manufacture progress, it is devided into PVC Sheet Floor and PVC Roller Floor. Now all major domestic and foreign manufactures are applying it as the reinforcement layer to avoiding the joint or bulge between pieces, which is caused by the heat expansion and contraction of materials.
c) None-woven category products reinforced
None-woven laid scrim is widely used as reinforced materail on kinds none-woven fabric, such as fiberglass tissue, polyester mat, wipes, also some top ends, such as medical paper. It can makes none-woven products with higher tensile strength,while just add very little unit weight.
d) PVC Tarpaulin
Laid scrim can be used as basic materials to produce truck cover,light awning, banner, sail cloth etc.
