    Non-woven laid scrims Brief Introduction

    This product is a Fiberglass Laid Scrim​ in a rectangular mesh specification​ — 1.6 × 0.8 ends/cm giving a 6.25 × 12.5 mm​ open mesh — belonging to the "non-woven laid scrims" series. It is a cost-effective reinforcement fabric made from continuous E-glass filament yarns in a chemically bonded, flat-laid open mesh (square or tri-directional optional), designed as a universal tensile skeleton that can be laminated with foil, non-woven, PVC, paper, and technical textile stacks. Ruifiber makes these scrims to order for specific usages; the chemically bonded construction permits economical reinforcement and is designed to be highly compatible with the customer's process and product

    Non-woven laid scrims Characteristics

    Rectangular-Mesh Advantage (6.25×12.5 mm): Compared with square mesh, the 1.6×0.8 ENDS layout lets the converter tune warp/weft reinforcement ratio — useful when the host substrate sees directional stress (e.g., machine-direction dominant on laminating lines, or circumferential bias on pipe wrapping).

    Glass-Grade Property Set : Dimensional stability, tensile strength, alkali resistance, tear resistance, fire resistance, anti-microbial properties, water resistance — the E-glass version survives heat, humidity, and alkaline substrates common to foil insulation, flooring, and non-woven laminates. Polyester version optionally adds heat sealability and softer hand.

    Long Rolls for Continuous Lines: Each roll length can be 10,000 meters (platform up to 50,000 m), helping manufacturers improve production efficiency and giving finished products better appearance. Fewer splices per shift on high-speed laminating, coating, and slitting lines.

    Primary Use: Directionally Tuned Reinforcement for Laminating & Winding Stacks

    The core application of this rectangular-mesh (1.6×0.8 ENDS, 6.25×12.5 mm) laid scrim is as the hidden tensile grid laminated into or between​ foil–kraft, non-woven mats, flooring carriers, and technical textile stacks where the converter wants differentiated warp/weft reinforcement rather than a symmetric square mesh. It is laminated into the host stack to:

    Tune Reinforcement Ratio to Directional Stress

    The 1.6×0.8 ENDS layout lets the MD-heavier or CD-heavier bias be set at the scrim stage, so the composite sees balanced or deliberately biased tensile where the process or end-use calls for it (e.g., machine-direction on laminators, circumferential on wraps).

    Maintain Dimensional Stability & Tear Resistance

    The scrim's low elongation and multi-directional (rectangular) grid keep the laminate from cupping, wrinkling, or tearing at handling and in-service loads — preserving flatness on flooring carriers, foil facings, and non-woven composites

    Enable High-Efficiency Laminating

    10,000 m roll length (up to 50,000 m platform) feeds high-speed laminators, coaters, and slitters with fewer splice stops — fewer weak spots in finished rolls, better batch appearance.

     a) Aluminum Foil Composite

    Nove-woven laid scrim is widely applied in aluminium foil industry. It can help manufacture to develop the production efficiency as the roll length can reach 10000m. It also makes the finished product with better apperance.

    b) PVC Flooring

    PVC Flooring is mainly made of PVC,also other necessary chemical material during manufacture. It is produced by calendering,extrusion progress or other manufacture progress, it is devided into PVC Sheet Floor and PVC Roller Floor. Now all major domestic and foreign manufactures are applying it as the reinforcement layer to avoiding the joint or bulge between pieces, which is caused by the heat expansion and contraction of materials.

    c) None-woven category products reinforced

    None-woven laid scrim is widely used as reinforced materail on kinds none-woven fabric, such as fiberglass tissue, polyester mat, wipes, also some top ends, such as medical paper. It can makes none-woven products with higher tensile strength,while just add very little unit weight.

    d) PVC Tarpaulin
