Triaxial fiberglass mesh clothing Laid Scrims for aluminum foil insulation
Triaxial Fiberglass Laid Scrims Brief Introduction
This product is a Triaxial Fiberglass Laid Scrim, a cost-effective, open-mesh reinforcement fabric engineered as the "S" layer in aluminum foil insulation composites (foil–scrim–kraft, foil–scrim–tissue, building wrap, HVAC duct facing). It is made from continuous E-glass filament yarns arranged in a tri-directional (triaxial) open mesh and chemically bonded at the nodes, with binder options (PVOH, PVC, Acrylic, or customized) to match foil–kraft / foil–tissue laminating lines. Compared with standard biaxial (square) scrims, the triaxial layout adds a third yarn direction, giving the mesh multi-directional tensile and shear resistance — which matters when the foil roll is handled, cut, wrapped on rigid ducts, or exposed to temperature swings. The scrim is laminated between the aluminum foil and the backing (kraft, PET, fiberglass tissue) to become a hidden anti-tear grid that keeps the vapor barrier continuous. Configurable: roll width 200–2,500 mm, roll length up to 10,000 m, yarn types (Glass led, also Polyester, Carbon, Kevlar, Nomex, etc.), construction square / tri-directional, patterns 0.8–3 yarns/cm.
Triaxial Fiberglass Laid Scrims Characteristics
Triaxial Construction for Multi-Directional Loads: The three-yarn-direction architecture (vs. standard 0°/90° biaxial) distributes tensile and shear forces in more axes, suppressing diagonal tearing and bias distortion when the foil roll is handled, cut, or wrapped on ducts — a common failure point in aluminum foil insulation.
Foil-Grade Glass Properties: Dimensional stability, tensile strength, alkali resistance, tear resistance, fire resistance, anti-microbial properties, and water resistance — the E-glass scrim survives heat, humidity, and alkaline concrete substrates common to building wrap and duct insulation, while the triaxial grid adds crack-arrest in handling and service.
Long Rolls for Foil Lamination Lines: Each roll length can be 10,000 meters, which helps manufacturers improve production efficiency and gives finished products better appearance. Fewer splices per shift on high-speed foil laminators, fewer weak spots in finished rolls.

Triaxial Fiberglass Laid Scrims Application
a) Aluminum Foil Composite
Nove-woven laid scrim is widely applied in aluminium foil industry. It can help manufacture to develop the production efficiency as the roll length can reach 10000m. It also makes the finished product with better apperance.
b) PVC Flooring
PVC Flooring is mainly made of PVC,also other necessary chemical material during manufacture. It is produced by calendering, extrusion progress or other manufacture progress, it is devided into PVC Sheet Floor and PVC Roller Floor. Now all major domestic and foreign manufactures are applying it as the reinforcement layer to avoiding the joint or bulge between pieces, which is caused by the heat expansion and contraction of materials.
c) None-woven category products reinforced
None-woven laid scrim is widely used as reinforced materail on kinds none-woven fabric, such as fiberglass tissue, polyester mat, wipes, also some top ends, such as medical paper. It can makes none-woven products with higher tensile strength, while just add very little unit weight.
d) PVC Tarpaulin
Laid scrim can be used as basic materials to produce truck cover, light awning, banner, sail cloth etc.
