    This laid scrim is designed for lamination into lightweight structural composites, serving as a hidden tensile reinforcement layer embedded in sandwich panels, prepreg stacks, and composite laminates used in aerospace, automobile, wind energy, and general lightweight construction. It is produced by chemically bonding continuous filament yarns into a flat-laid open mesh (square or tri-directional), with binder options (PVOH, PVC, acrylic, or customized) to match prepreg layup, infusion, and lamination processes. The chemically bonded construction delivers lightweight, high strength, low shrinkage/elongation, and corrosion resistance — enabling the composite to maintain dimensional stability under load while adding minimal weight.

    Lightweight Structure Grade Property Profile: Dimensional stability, tensile strength, alkali resistance, tear resistance, fire resistance, anti-microbial properties, water resistance — the scrim's low elongation prevents creep and warpage in thin-gauge sandwich panels and prepreg laminates, while multi-directional tensile arrests crack initiation at ply drops, core splice joints, and fastener zones. Its open mesh allows resin flow during infusion and wet layup, ensuring full wet-out without blocking.

    High Strength & Light Weight: Available in a range of regular mesh sizes and grammages covering the platform's common specifications (including fine to coarse grids, with typical grammages such as 6.5g, 8g, 13g, 15.5g per square meter, etc.), delivering high tensile and tear resistance at minimal added weight. Critical for lightweight structures where every gram affects payload, fuel efficiency, or dynamic performance. Fully bondable with epoxy, polyester, vinyl ester, and thermoplastic matrices; each roll length up to 50,000 m to support continuous prepreg and laminating lines.

    Primary Use: Reinforcement for Lightweight Structural Composites

    The core application of this lightweight-structure laid scrim is as the hidden tensile grid laminated into​ sandwich panels, prepreg laminates, and UD-scrim composites used in aerospace (interior panels, fairings), automobile (seat back trims, lightweight construction), wind energy (wind turbine blades), and general lightweight construction. It is laminated into the composite stack to:

    The scrim's open mesh adds tensile and tear resistance across the composite plane without blocking resin flow or adding significant thickness — preserving the thin-gauge advantage of lightweight sandwich designs.

    Prevent Delamination at Ply Drops & Core Splices

    In sandwich panels and tapered laminates, ply drop-offs and core joints are stress concentration sites. The scrim's multi-directional reinforcement bridges these zones, arresting delamination initiation under bending, fatigue, and impact loads.

     a) Aluminum Foil Composite

    Nove-woven laid scrim is widely applied in aluminium foil industry. It can help manufacture to develop the production efficiency as the roll length can reach 10000m. It also makes the finished product with better apperance.

    b) PVC Flooring

    PVC Flooring is mainly made of PVC,also other necessary chemical material during manufacture. It is produced by calendering,extrusion progress or other manufacture progress, it is devided into PVC Sheet Floor and PVC Roller Floor. Now all major domestic and foreign manufactures are applying it as the reinforcement layer to avoiding the joint or bulge between pieces, which is caused by the heat expansion and contraction of materials.

    c) None-woven category products reinforced

    None-woven laid scrim is widely used as reinforced materail on kinds none-woven fabric, such as fiberglass tissue, polyester mat, wipes, also some top ends, such as medical paper. It can makes none-woven products with higher tensile strength,while just add very little unit weight.
