Non woven polyester stretch mesh fabric Laid Scrims for Adhesive Tape for Middle East Countries
Non woven polyester stretch mesh fabric Laid Scrims Brief Introduction
This product is a Polyester Laid Scrim (stretch-mesh variant), a cost-effective, open-mesh reinforcement fabric engineered specifically as the carrier / hidden tensile skeleton for adhesive tapes supplied to Middle East markets — covering foam tape, rubber & plastic tape, and double-sided scrim tape used in construction, HVAC, packaging, and industrial bonding. It is manufactured by chemically bonding continuous polyester filament yarns into a stretch-mesh open construction (square or tri-directional), with binder options (PVOH, PVC, Acrylic, or customized) to match different PSA coating, laminating, and die-cutting processes. Compared with standard polyester scrims, the stretch-mesh variant offers improved conformability to curved or irregular substrates — critical when the tape is applied around corners, trims, or flexible duct/panel edges common in Gulf projects. The scrim is laminated between adhesive layers or embedded into the tape carrier to become the "anti-stretch grid" that prevents elongation, tearing, and edge-lift during unwind, application, and long-term load. Configurable parameters: roll width 200–2,500 mm, roll length up to 10,000 meters (platform capacity extends further), yarn types (Polyester led, also Glass, Carbon, Cotton, Flax, Jute, Viscose, Kevlar, Nomex), construction (square, tri-directional), patterns 0.8–3 yarns/cm, bonding (PVOH, PVC, Acrylic, customized).
Non woven polyester stretch mesh fabric Laid Scrims Characteristics
Tape-Grade Polyester Property Set (with Stretch-Mesh Advantage): Per the page's "Polyester Laid Scrims Characteristics" — tensile strength, tear resistance, heat sealable, anti-microbial properties, water resistance, self-adhesive compatibility, eco-friendly, decomposable, and recyclable. The stretch-mesh construction adds improved conformability over standard square scrim, making it better suited for foam-tape and curved-surface mounting applications where the carrier must flex without the scrim buckling or delaminating from the adhesive.
Long Rolls for High-Speed PSA Converting: Roll width 200–2,500 mm; each roll length can be 10,000 meters per page: "It can help manufacture to develop the production efficiency as the roll length can reach 10000m." Fewer splices per shift on high-speed PSA coating and slitting lines, fewer weak spots in finished tape logs — directly matching Middle East converters running foam-tape and double-sided tape for construction/HVAC export.

Non woven polyester stretch mesh fabric Laid Scrims Application
Primary Use: Reinforcement for Adhesive Tape
The core and specialized application of this polyester stretch-mesh laid scrim is as the hidden tensile skeleton laminated between adhesive layers or embedded into the carrier of foam tape, rubber & plastic tape, and double-sided scrim tape supplied to Middle East construction, HVAC, packaging, and industrial bonding projects. It is laminated into the tape stack to:
Enhance Tensile & Tear Strength for Harsh Site Handling
Tapes are pulled, stretched, and pressed during application (mounting trims, sealing duct laps, fixing insulation facings). The scrim dramatically increases the carrier's resistance to breaking and tearing, and the stretch-mesh variant adds conformability around corners and curved substrates common in Gulf fit-out work.
Maintain Dimensional Stability Through Unwind & Service
The scrim's low elongation prevents the tape from stretching when unrolled or loaded in shear, so die-cut shapes stay in registered position after application — useful for logo tabs, washers, and mounting squares on curtain-wall or panel systems.
Maintain Dimensional Stability Through Unwind & Service
The open mesh allows clean, burr-free die-cutting; with PVOH or heat-sealable binders, the scrim is compatible with thermal laminating used in tape converting — no adhesive oozing or liner wrinkling on high-speed slitting.
Secondary Applications
Per the product page, this polyester laid scrim is also extensively applied in:
Aluminum Foil Composite
Non-woven laid scrim is widely applied in the aluminium foil industry; 10,000 m roll length helps manufacturers improve production efficiency and gives finished products better appearance.
PVC Flooring
PVC flooring is mainly made of PVC plus other necessary chemical materials via calendering, extrusion, or other manufacture progress, divided into PVC Sheet Floor and PVC Roller Floor. Now all major domestic and foreign manufacturers are applying laid scrim as the reinforcement layer to avoid the joint or bulge between floor pieces, which is caused by the heat expansion and contraction of materials.
Non-Woven Category Reinforcement
Non-woven laid scrim is widely used as reinforcement on kinds of non-woven fabric, such as fiberglass tissue, polyester mat, wipes, and also some top ends such as medical paper — it can make non-woven products with higher tensile strength, while just adding very little unit weight.
PVC Tarpaulin
Laid scrim can be used as basic material to produce truck cover, light awning, banner, sail cloth etc.
